A new personal exhibition "Faces" of artist Irina Fedorenko SEMIRA opened in Galerini Gallery in Munich.

Iryna became famous thanks to her extraordinary portraits. These are of people's souls and characters, emotions and moods, the picture looks at the viewer with a lively deep look, although the general features of the face are made with careless strokes and conveys only a conditional resemblance. The secret of the artist's ability to convey a deep psychological portrait in her own easy and relaxed manner, characters from Iryna's works are created for dialog with the viewer, in them she reflects her vision of the world, the emotions of different people and one person at different times, and at the same time she gives the viewer the opportunity to decide for themselves what these works are about.

Iryna studied painting, culture and art in the National Academy of Management of Culture and Art of Ukraine, had internship at The Andy Warhol Museum of Modern Art and at the Museum of Ukrainian Art in Slovakia, The Italian Ca'Foscari University of Venice, had internship and participated in conferences in Boston (USA), Oxford and Cambridge (England).

- Iryna, your active activity is impressive and gives an example for many people, how many exhibitions have you already held in Germany?

- I honestly don't know, I stopped counting my exhibitions after I had 100 of them. I will only say that this year this is my third solo exhibition in Munich alone and I have something else planned for the end of the year, but I will tell you about it a little later.

- Three solo exhibitions in Munich in one year! And there are more plans - impressive! We know that organizing exhibitions in Europe is quite a complicated process and the queues in galleries are booked for years in advance. You probably get asked this question a lot, but how do you manage?

- I don't do anything special and there is no universal recipe. You just have to be yourself, do your own thing, develop, follow the call of your heart. You have to understand what you are doing and what you are doing it for, to answer these questions for yourself first of all. I don't create "commercial" painting, I don't imitate someone else, I create my own.

- Is there competition and envy from fellow artists?

- Sometimes there is a strange behavior, for example, many people add me as a friend in social networks and start writing in an obsessive form to my friends or people with whom we did some projects with literal demands to do some projects with them, to buy something from them, to invite them somewhere. And they don't just write, they write something like "well, you did an exhibition with SEMIRA, do it for me, I want to do it too". It doesn't work like that. This is of course a rough comparison, but I would never think of writing to a museum and saying that you have a Dali and a Picasso hanging on the wall, put my painting there tomorrow. The more you impose yourself, the more it repels, the less intrinsic value you have.

- Another question that you probably get asked very often: tell me about your relationship with Johnny Depp. Your photos have been discussed by everyone!

- After a critical mass of these questions had accumulated, I stopped answering them altogether. People wrote, for example, tell him to come and perform at our club, and have him send me an autograph on his guitar, and tell him, and so on and so forth. All this was mostly written to me by strangers or people I don't know very well, it really surprised me: those who had never communicated with me decided to write to me and give me some tasks. I stopped all this by completely ignoring this thread. I don't like to comment on the personal lives of my family and friends. It's my personal life and that's what it is. I don't like to talk about clothes, grooming - these are some empty topics, it's clear that I also wear clothes and look after myself, but I think it's silly to discuss it all and spend time on these discussions.

- We noticed that you love scarves and shawls.

- Yes, I really love these accessories.

- Do you want to hold a solo exhibition in Ukraine in the near future?

- It's a complicated question, as the exhibition is connected with the shipment of paintings, and I have them now scattered in different countries in Europe and in the USA. In Ukraine, I have a few paintings left that were created before 2022. If it is an interesting proposal from some museum, I will certainly consider it.

- What creative plans do you have?

- There are many, but I don't like to speculate about plans, I just put up a new exhibition poster and invitations and that's what I love!

- Wishing you success and looking forward to more exhibitions!
